Temple Shalom is gearing up for their 30th annual Chocolate Extravaganza.
On Sunday, the Wheeling synagogue will welcome 16 local chocolatiers. They will also be giving away more than 10 cakes in a cake raffle and have collected over 40 prizes for people who walk through the door.
“The proceeds from this event will go to community outreach as well as youth programming here at Temple Shalom,” said Tricia Gilson, a co-chair of the Chocolate Extravaganza. “We hope to have about 500 people walk through that front door and since the majority of people love chocolate, I think that’s very doable.”
The event will take place May 5th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Temple Shalom.
Tickets are $12 if you purchase them in advance and $15 the day of the event. Tickets are currently on sale at Temple Shalom’s office, located at 23 Bethany Pike in Wheeling.
