Children of all ages got to visit with Santa Saturday from nine to noon at A & B Kia in Benwood.
The business holds Breakfast With Santa every year, giving out gifts and allowing the kids to play and have a good time. It was held in a large room at the dealership, where kids could run, jump, play and pick out their favorite things among hundreds of toys and games.
Marshall County Schools’ Parent Educator Susie Baker helps coordinate the event, “They get to go in the bouncy house and then they get a chance to make a craft. They write a letter to Santa. There’s a mailbox there for Santa Claus. And then they make some reindeer food. And then they get to come and see Santa and sit on his lap and they get to choose from about 800 toys, they get to choose what they want to take. And then they have some doughnuts and something to drink.”
“Christmas is very important for little kids and we like to have an opportunity to help out,” said Owner Mike Ferns.
Baker says owner Mike Ferns likes to give back to the community. Ferns says it’s important to him to see the children having a good time.
