A blanket of snow brings winter weather to the Ohio Valley

Community

The quick change in weather this week has left the Ohio Valley in all kinds of mixed emotions.

On Tuesday car windows were down and people were out in shorts and a t-shirt. Wednesday everyone was wearing their heavy coats and the heat is on full blast.

The Ohio Valley saw a 25 to 30 degree temperature drop in about 24 hours.

Yes, it was a big shock, but not usual.

Weather patterns happen like this all the time, especially in the winter season.

So what did residents have to say?

“It’s not too bad,” said Tom from Harrison County. “We don’t get the same winters like we use to.”

“I want summer to be here now,” exclaimed Sharon, also from Harrison County.

Others were enjoying the outdoors just a day ago.

“I was out working in my garden area yesterday and here we are today,” said Ron. “Just staying out of the weather as much as possible.”

“I don’t like super hot weather either, so I’m a Fall and Spring person,” added Kathy.
