ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio (WTRF) - After tragedy struck a local organization the community has stepped up in a big way.
The Augusta Levy learning Center was heavily damaged after a fire tore through the old Sacred Heart Church building. Friday another local organization that works with children with autism took time to give back to the program that is trying to recover.
The Silver Lining Group out of St. Clairsville held their fourth annual yard sale in the afternoon. Instead of using the money for fun, they had a better idea.
"We usually use the money for a community trip for our clients. Instead, all proceeds raised will go to them to help them get back on their feet," said Silver Lining's Clinical Site Director, Kristen Wheeler.
Officials with Silver Lining said it was a no-brainer to help Augusta Levy in their time of need.
