Maintenance workers in the Village of Bellaire have received a much-needed gift.
It was all thanks to a generous donor that the village officials announced Thursday that a Chevy truck has been given to them by an anonymous resident.
They said it will be used to haul equipment for grass cutting and other maintenance jobs throughout the town.
“It’s a great donation and we really appreciate it. The gentleman wishes to remain anonymous. He doesn’t want to make it all about himself. He just wanted to help the Village go forward with the clean-up,” said Village Administrator Scott Porter.
Maintenance Supervisor, John Dyer said, “It frees up other vehicles. We had a truck before but we had to share it with other guys. Now we have our own. We won’t have to give it up and be able to maintain a schedule.”
Officials said the truck will be put to use immediately.
