An ATV Benefit ride in honor of Davie Sivert was held Saturday.
Sivert passed away at 21 in 2014 from abdominal lynch syndrome colon cancer.
While his family was preparing for his funeral they were contacted by their friends, family, and community to take Davie on one last ride with them on their ATV’s to the cemetery.
After that the family decided to do this ride every year to keep his memory alive.
The benefit gives out scholarships to students at Valley High School.
Between 250 and 300 ATV riders show up each year to ride.
The local football team joined them last year to do an ATV and car wash to raise money for new uniforms.
There is also a toy drive in Davie’s memory that has been able to give toys and candy to over 100 kids each year.
