Franciscan Square welcomed a new business on Monday.

Bennigan’s is back and better then ever.

The new and improved Restaurant cut the ribbon and opened their doors for business this evening.
There was also a blessing offered by the Clergy.

Paul Mangimele said they have been working on this Restaurant for quite sometime and too see it come to life is so exciting.

Legendary Restaurant Brands CFE, Chairman, and CEO, Paul Mangiamele said,  “Today, Special Day, Momentous Day because we opened in Steubenville Ohio.”

There was also a special cutting of one of their dishes they’re well known for, The Monte Cristo.

Franco Carapellotti will be operating the Restaurant and said he can’t wait for everyone from the community to experience it.

“I think for Franciscan Square it’s just the missing piece. We really needed a sit down restaurant and this provides that. It’s more then we could of ever expected. We’re really excited to offer this to the community. I think it is going to be great for Steubenville and the Ohio Valley as a whole,” said Bennigan’s Franchisee, Franco Carapellotti.

Jerry Barilla said Bennigan’s will be a huge economic boost for the city and a great asset to the entire Ohio Valley.

“Because you have to have a spark and I look at Bennigan’s and the Carapellotti’s having the spark for our city. Once you see this and see the success of it, everyone wants to be a part of success and so they will gravitate here because of what’s happening,” said Mayor of Steubenville, Jerry Barilla.

The Restaurant is open from 11 am to 10 pm on Sunday through Thursday with the bar open till 11 and 11am to 11pm on Friday and Saturday with the bar open till midnight.
