If you are looking for something to do Friday and are a fan of bluegrass music, the Strand Theatre in Moundsville is hosting a benefit concert you will not want to miss.

Roger Hoard will open the show, followed by the a capella group One-A-Chord and Crandall Creek.

It kicks off at 7:00 p.m. and is expected to last about three hours.

Bluegrass Music Foundation Endeavors is organizing the concert and will be donating the proceeds to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

“Anyone who walks into St. Jude, they pay zero for their services. Doesn’t matter what faith you are, you pay zero. That is a really nice organization who has helped a lot of children and their parents who otherwise could not get medical attention. So, that’s one reason why we picked St. Jude for this one,” said Jerry Andrews, Executive Director of Bluegrass Music Foundation Endeavors.

There will also be a silent auction and a non-perishable food drive to benefit the Feeding Body and Soul Soup Kitchen.

Tickets can be purchased at Ace Hardware in Moundsville, at the door, or by calling 304-281-5776.

They are $10 for adults and $5 for kids.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7:00 p.m..
