If you are looking for something fun to do on Saturday, listen up!
Wheeling Heritage is set to host the 23rd annual Wheeling Celtic Celebration
The festivities will take over the Artisan Center on Main Street, where three floors will be covered with Celtic music, dancing, vendors, culture and traditional food.
During this celebration there’s something for everyone!
For young kids, the entire second floor will be an activity area for them to play from noon to 4:00 p.m.
As for everyone else attending, entertainment for the eyes and ears will certainly be there.
“Opening up at 11:00 will be acoustic. It’s Matt Smith and he’s local from Wheeling,” said Chris Villamagna, Program Manager for Wheeling Heritage. “All day we have everything from the Burke School of Irish Dancing. That’s the lovely dancers with the beautiful outfits, large hair. We also have the Pipe Band of Pittsburgh, so that’s bagpipes. In between we have local bands and to end out the night we have a new band from Pittsburgh called The Wild Geese. It’s a mixture of Celtic rock and traditional music, Irish music, Celtic music and non-traditional.”
Entertainment and activities are scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. and everything wraps up at 11:00 p.m.
