Approximately 100 homes are still reportedly without water in Short Creek.

According to officials, residents have not had water in the area since Thursday.

Officials with the Public Services District are sectioning off the water lines to find the break that is causing the water outage.

Water is available through Appalachian Outreach. If you or someone you know is in need of water, a hot meal, or are looking for some help, you can stop by Short Creek United Methodist Church on Monday.

A hot meal will be provided Monday from 11-1 p.m at Short Creek United Methodist Church on North Folk. The church will be hosting a spaghetti dinner on Thursday at 6 p.m.

Community Lutheran Partners are in need of volunteers to help clean up the area. If you would like to volunteer, please call (304) 312-4222.

The National Guard will also be assisting in the area’s clean up.
