It’s officially cookie season in the Ohio Valley.

Thousands of boxes were delivered on Wednesday for area Girl Scout troops.

But if you missed out on ordering, don’t worry.

Cookie booths will be set up across the Valley starting Thursday.

You can find them at Lowe’s and Walmart for the month of March.

You can also visit their app, Girl Scout Cookie Finder, to find a local troop near you.

Regional Recruiter Tina Chandler told 7News local troops will be selling nearly 36,000 boxes of cookies this year.

“This is more than just yummy cookies though. It teaches girls great skills, business ethics, decision making, money management and they have a great time doing it,” Chandler said.

You can get your cookies before April 9th.

Officials said leftover cookies will be donated to local community groups.
