Elm Grove Eagles look to restock Ohio County’s food pantries

Community

The Elm Grove Eagles are once again helping stock Ohio County’s local pantries.

The theme is ‘People Helping Pantries’ and that is exactly what they are doing.

The Eagles are asking for non-perishable foods, paper products, personal supplies, and baby food and diapers.

They’re also accepting monetary donations.

So far, they’ve packed up 6,200 items to give out and more than $2,000 has already been donated.

If you’d like to get involved, Hope United Methodist Church is giving out products on Wednesday around 3 o’clock.

“We collect food the first Saturday of every October and then we set up a distribution date. They can come pick it up or some of them can’t so we deliver. It goes to the food panties. We have 19 orders that we fill,” said Peggy Everly, Madam Chaplain for the Elm Grove Eagles.

If you did not get a chance to donate, you still have until the end October to do so.
