They say Elmhurst The House of Friendship along National Road in Wheeling looks its prettiest at Christmas time.
An public open house tour was held there today for people to see everything the Victorian style assisted living home has to offer.
The amazing part there’s over 20 Christmas trees there, and each of them hold a loving memory of residents past and present.
Executive Director, Elmhurst, Jamie Crow said,”We’ve had residents gift us ornaments throughout the course of the years. We have a beautiful resident Christmas tree that goes back many many years. Every tree has a lot of memory for us. It reminds us of residents who may no longer be here.”
It also doubled as an opportunity for potential residents and their families to check out some of the rooms.
