FCC seeks to expand broadband in rural areas

Community

Tuesday, the FCC announced the next step towards a program to expand rural broadband.

The Federal Communications Commission is preparing to launch an auction that will provide nearly $2 billion over ten years to expand high-speed Internet access.

That expansion will help consumers and businesses in rural areas that are currently un-served by fixed broadband.
