Although students haven’t been to school in Ohio County in seven days, educators and volunteers at Bridge Street Middle School are making sure kids still have nutritious meals.
Through grant money the school receives, Principal Joseph Kolb said they bought $15 hundred worth of food, supplies, and clothing for the kids.
Even though the school has been closed they still have the kids in mind.
Principal, Bridge Street Elementary, Joseph Kolb said, “At Bridge Street we have a motto and our motto is, “We are a family”, and we are a family and with everything that is going on, it is a tough time for everybody. Educators, families, parents, kids, every thing and we just want to do our part to make sure kids get some food.”
They had more than 75 food bags available and each bag had enough food to supply family of up to four with food for about three days.
