YWCA Wheeling will be hosting their action-packed “Over the Edge” fundraiser this weekend.
The event sends thrill-seekers from across the Ohio Valley repelling down the side of a building to raise money to help the organization fulfill their mission of eliminating racism, empowering women, and protecting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.
This year the event will be held at Wheeling Island Hotel, Casino, Racetrack which stands at about 10 stories tall.
Over the last four years, the fundraiser has brought in more than $260,000 for the YWCA Wheeling. In order for participants to go “Over the Edge” they must raise $1,000 to donate to the organization.
