As Christmas is just days away, Governor Jim Justice made a visit to the Ohio Valley, but it wasn’t business as usual for the Governor.

Instead he was coaching a girls basketball game.

Gov. Justice is the girls head basketball coach of the Greenbrier East Lady Partons and today they took on the Wheeling  Park Patriots.

Not only were fans excited to see the governor, but fellow coaches were also excited to see him as well.

“I think it’s a great thing for Wheeling, I think its a great thing for the community as a fellow basketball coach, I’ve coached for a few years um I think its cool that he is visible for the state and community that even in the political position as governor that he still coaching so um I think its going to help a lot of youth it will help encourage them but ah it was nice to see him I got to talk to him a little bit earlier and ah I’m hoping that he will continue to great work in the legislature and that his team will play well as well,” said Coach Remi Markos.

As for tonights game, it was an extremely close match up.

But Gov. Justice led his team to a one point victory over the Lady Patriots.
