All Hancock County Schools were back in session on Monday.
All the schools were cleaned and disenfected and the decison re-open was made on Sunday by the Superintendent.
On Friday a recent flu outbreak caused the county to close all schools.
According to the Hancock County Schools Superintendent, Timothy Woodward, the virus was so widespread, he decided to close all eight Hancock County Schools, so custodians could decontaminate the buildings.
Also Friday’s closure will not affect the end date for the 2018-2019 academic year as the county had an additional snow day left to use, according to Woodward.
