Wheeling youth will now have better access to recreational activities thanks to a partnership between the city and the J.B. Chambers Foundation.
The Foundation is providing funding that will help to defray the cost of summer activities that may not otherwise be affordable for some youth.
You can fill out applications for the funding by going to https://www.wheelingwv.gov/departments/Parks-Recreation/youth-sports. You can also pick one up at the Parks & Recreation office, 51 – 16th Street, Wheeling.
Director of Parks & Recreation Jesse Mestrovic says he is very grateful for the gift from the J.B. Chambers Foundation in that it makes programs such as this youth scholarship fund possible.
