According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, starting on Sunday, March 18th, Interstate 70 eastbound will be reduced to one lane from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. Monday morning at the $19.5 million, State Route 331 Interchange improvement project.
The lane closure is to switch traffic onto the new bridge so that the demolition of the eastbound bridge can begin.
Due to inclement weather this work was not able to occur when it was originally supposed to.
On April of 2016 ODOT’s contractor, Shelly & Sands Inc. began work on this major interchange project.
It is intended to improve safety and reduce the congestion.
The current date of completion for this project is July 31, 2018.
