Local residents getting excited for the fall season

With Labor Day being the unofficial start to the fall season, people are getting excited for the cooler temperatures, leaves changing colors, and even pumpkin spice lattes.

Although Labor Day’s weather certainly doesn’t feel like fall, the calendar says it’s only a matter of time until we start stocking up on candy for Halloween.

7News asked some Ohio Valley residents whether or not their excited for this time of year. Jeremy Brown is a New Martinsville resident who is ready for his fall plans. “Going to get ready for fall. We’re going to see the leaves. We’re going to go to Bridge Day. We’re going to Hawks Nest. We’re going to hit up some corn mazes.”

Akira Burchard is a Paden City resident who wants summer to end. “No more summer! We want fall!”

Angelina Sellers is also a Paden City resident who is ready for the cooler temperatures. “I love fall. The cool air. You can sit out at night. I just love fall! I really do!.”

The official start to fall is the autumn equinox which is Saturday September 22 at 9:54 PM this year.
