A Belmont County native has created a unique online business, and it’s getting some major recognition.

Kayla Pickana is a graduate of St. Clairsville High School, and is the founder of BondingBees.com.

Pickana recently attended a casting call for the ABC show ‘Shark Tank’ and presented her business.

It’s a date night subscription service, where couples receive a box each month with various activities.

Each month has its own theme.

It might include ideas like making a pizza together, or painting together. It also includes a date guide, which is a personalized gift for new customers.

“The goal is to help people put their phones away and spend quality time together. Not just watching tv every day. It’s kind of like It’s easy to get in the same routine of the same night after night. So I stated this in hopes of helping couples mix it up a little bit. Experience something new together and just have some fun,” said Pickana.

Pickana also sponsors a child from Brazil each month through the website. She also features a “Couple of the Month”, and donates to the charity of their choice.

She will find out more in the next few weeks about her casting call.
