Moundsville Police looking to add officers to the force

The Moundsville Police Department is looking to make a big hire, adding several new officers to the force.

Chief Tom Mitchell said the department is actively searching for 3 new probationary police officers for their 17 man department, one of the biggest hires they have done in years.

Applications will be accepted until February 26, testing will be on March 3.

Mitchell said starting pay is $18.35 an hour with full benefits, insurance, clothing allowance, firearms, paid vacation, and a take home cruiser.
