Country Roads Barbecue serves traditional southern barbecue.
Their signature dish is their brisket which is smoked 11 hours in a smoker on site, then placed in the oven for another four hours. They also have an array of side dishes
They got their beginnings as a food truck.
“Well we have four main meats: the brisket, pulled pork, chicken breast and ribs,” said Scott Phair, owner and founder. “We do a kale salad, we have baked beans that we put our pulled pork inside so it has a real nice texture to it, and macaroni and cheese with Asiago in it.”
It’s at 56 Carmel Road, between Miklas Meat Market and Ye Olde Alpha, in the former Cilantro site.
Right now their hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
They say they’ll soon expand to seven days a week with longer hours, and they plan to hire more employees.
