A new market has opened in Harrison County.
Sander’s Markets is celebrating one full month in business this week.
Employees at the grocery store say that business has been busy. The store prides itself on making customers feel welcome, and keeping its shelves tidy so that items are easy to find.
It’s a welcome sight for Cadiz, which had been without a place to purchase groceries since late 2016.
“Cadiz was without a grocery story for about a year or so, something like that. So everyone has loved it. It’s great. You don’t have to travel 25 minutes to get a tomato for something you know. It’s been awesome. It’s really great. We’ve had a lot of good feedback,” said head cashier, Hannah Jones.
Jones said she’s already seen plenty of regular customers as they come to shop.
