If you’ve been meaning to check out Oglebay’s Winter Festival of Lights and just never got the chance, there’s some good news.
Park officials said they will be extending the festival this year.
You now have until Sunday, January 6 to enjoy all of the beautiful displays throughout the park.
In past years, the festival would only run until the first of the year. However, according to Herb Faulkenberry, Oglebay’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, this year’s festival has drawn some very large crowds throughout the season.
He said they have added the extra dates to give folks an extra opportunity to check out the show.
“This year has been super,” Faulkenberry continued. “The reception has been great. The locals have really enjoyed it as well as people from out of state. We are getting a lot of people from Ohio Pennsylvania and Southern West Virginia.”
This year you can experience the display with special 3-D eyewear.
The festival features more than 90 lighted attractions and more than one million energy efficient L-E-D lights.
