Onetime federal prosecutor Steve Dettelbach hopes to serve as the next Ohio Attorney General.
Dettelbach swung by the 7News newsroom to lay out his positions on some issues concerning the office he seeks, and talk of items he’s noticed traveling across the Buckeye State.
He said the Attorney General’s office needs to better support local governments squeezed by the current Ohio administration.
Ohio Attorney General Candidate, Steve Dettelbach, (D) said, “In the last seven years in the State of Ohio — we have cut funds to local government. That means, police, firefighters, schools. We slashed and slashed it over half, and hauled money back to Columbus, but we need to have the backs of people who are out there in our communities.”
On the G-O-P ticket, current state auditor Dave Yost seeks the Attorney General’s office.
Current Attorney General Mike DeWine is seeking to become Ohio’s next Governor.
