Ohio County Schools has released a statement in response to a lawsuit filed by teachers which names multiple school officials.
The lawsuit claims Principal Joe Kolb sexually harassed and verbally abused them that the superintendent and assistant superintendent were repeatedly made aware of it, but failed to protect the three women from harassment and a hostile work environment.
“The Ohio County Board of Education is aware of the allegations made in the Complaint filed in the Circuit Court of Ohio County,” reads the statement. “It is in the Policy of the Board to not comment on active litigation. Our attorneys will make the appropriate response through the Court System. We do plan to vigorously defend the action.”
