School may be out for the summer, but Ohio County Schools are still making sure children have nutritious meals.
The Summer Food Service Program will begin on Monday, June 11.
Breakfast and lunch are available to all children under the age of 18, free of charge.
Services are expanded this year to include a total of 13 sites across the area.
“We’re just really excited to be able to offer this to our children and our families,” sai Renee Griffin, Ohio County Schools Director of Child Nutrition. We know they depend upon it through the school year. Hunger doesn’t take a vacation so we know that kids really rely on this lunch every day.”)
