School is only a few weeks away, which means it’s time for back to school shopping.

It can get costly, so looking for good deal is usually a must.

Families looking for school supplies are going to have a little help getting everything on their list in Ohio with tax free weekend.

Starting on Friday, August 3rd and lasting until Sunday, August 5th all clothing costing less than $75 per item and school supplies that are less than $20 per item will be tax-free.

Shoppers who spoke to 7News to at the Ohio Valley mall said they plan to take advantage of the weekend.

“Backpacks, crayons, rulers and folders and many more,” said Peyton Brown, who listed everything she needs for school.

“There is a lot to buy, especially with parents that have several children,” said  grandmother Tammy Durrah. “Peyton has a twin brother, Ryder, and so being able to buy clothes and shoes and even school supplies everything is gonna help. Every little bit will help.”

“This is kind of a first time situation for us in this area,” said Charlotte Sable, who has two children heading to school this year. “I’m hoping it will help.”

If you can’t get to the store don’t worry.

Tax free weekend applies to purchase made both in stores and online.
