One 17-year-old helped lead Barilla to a big win

With Jerry Barilla stepping in as the new Mayor, we now introduce you to the 17-year-old who helped win his campaign.

Meet Alex McKenna.

McKenna is a senior in high school who only met Barilla before the start of campaign season.

But with his passion for politics, Barilla gave him a shot and he didn’t disappoint.

As campaign manager, McKenna was given the most responsibility he had seen in his young political career.

“It was a lot of hard work, a lot of stress organizing volunteer days, organizing the campaign kick off, dealing with situations along the campaign trail, whether it was moving funds, using funds appropriately or making sure we had enough yard signs. Everything you can imagine along those lines, in addition to managing all the social media,” McKenna said.

Barilla said McKenna did an amazing job with the campaign.

He also thinks we should look out for Alex. McKenna could easily be in the White House someday.
