It’s been five days since Brooke Middle School officially opened on its new campus.
That means more than 2,000 students are now located on Bruin Drive.
If you’re worried about how that could impact football parking this season, officials say don’t fret.
The new campus offers dozens of new parking spots including new handicap spaces.
“Because the middle school is now open and not a construction site, we actually have more parking up on the top, so it’s going to be a little better than last year,” said Brooke High School Principal Timothy Pannett. “There will be a lot more handicap parking, there will be a lot more parking for our boosters club, and in general, we believe the traffic patterns will be enhanced by allowing the parking lots to empty faster.”
If you’re headed to Thursday night’s game at Brooke Memorial Stadium, keep in mind preferred parking is available for boosters.
Meanwhile, the large student parking lot is open to everyone.
