Homeless women across the Wheeling area will soon have a day dedicated to them.
It’s all part of another event being put on by Project Hope, and this is the second year for this unique event.
The women will be treated to facials, manicures, haircuts, and makeovers. Last year, they even received a gift bag full of beauty items to take with them.
Texas Roadhouse is supplying the food, along with some goodies from Whisk bakery and catering. Ulta will be there giving hair cuts and doing styling and Massage therapists will be also be on hand.
Organizers say these women are very guarded and this is a way to reach out to them.
“But the biggest thing that we did for them was plant seeds about domestic violence, continuing your education. We talked about women’s health and showing them that there are a community of women in Wheeling that are interested in empowering those who are living on the streets,” said Project Hope Director Crystal Bauer.
The Spa Day is on January 20th from 11- 4 at the McClure Hotel
