Across the nation, there’s a call for blood from the American Red Cross, as the organization faces an emergency blood shortage.
As of last week, they had less than a three-day supply of most blood types on hand.
Officials said the need for blood has reached desperate levels, but you have a chance to help.
On Monday, the 33rd annual Ohio Valley Media Blood Drive kicked off at Wesbanco Arena.
The drive started at 11:00 a.m. and runs through 5:30 p.m.
