One thing you can count on at the Undo’s Upper Ohio Valley Italian Heritage Festival is top notch entertainment, and this year is no exception.
You’ll definitely want to catch the band ‘Spinning Jenny’, which headlines the main stage at Heritage Port on Saturay night.
The band is made up of three sisters from Mingo Junction who are making their mark all over the Tri-state area.
“We really try to play music that anyone can enjoy, music from all genres, that appeal to all ages,” the sisters said. “We really try to bring an energy to the stage so that you are not just listening to music, you are watching a show.”
To see the reaction from the crowds at a Spinning Jenny show there is no doubt the passion and enthusiasm they bring to each and every performance.
The band is made up of Julia, Talia and Angelina Balzano.
Their dad, Dr. John Balzano is an accomplished guitarist and the bands fourth member
“The main thing come fro our Dad and out Mom,” Spinning Jenny said. “Our Dad plays guitar and sings. Our Mon sings. So, growing up we always had music in the house. We feel like we are blessed to have that around us.”
Each show has a wide range of rock music that includes classic rock, pop, alternative and even a touch of punk.
They play music from artist such as Imagine Dragons, Abba, and the Rolling Stones.
Spinning Jenny is not just a cover band. They have already released one album called “Outside the Lines” and also have a soon to be released single called “Powerline”. That song has been featured on AT&T SportsNet and can be seen during Pittsburgh Pirates games.
The Undo’s Upper Ohio Valley Italian Heritage Festival remains one of their favorite events.
“We come from a Big Italian Family, so that’s really part of our culture and our heritage,” the sisters added. “It’s nice to have an awesome festival like this that really shows off our culture and celebrates it”
Spinning Jenny takes the stage Saturday at 9:00 p.m. They will take a break for fireworks around 9:30 and return to the stage to close out the evening until 11:00 p.m.
