Wheeling Island Stadium looks a bit different Monday, after it was underwater just 48-hours ago.

Ohio County Communications Director Gabe Wells said the turf survived the flooding and will not need replaced.

Wells said they do have to get new carpet in the locker rooms, but other than that, there was no major damage to the stadium.

Well said the school maintenance staff did a great job moving objects to higher ground and preparing for the flooding at the stadium and in the basement at Madison Elementary.

Madison Elementary did not suffer any flooding.
