Stuff a stocking, win a Jeep and help kids at the same time

You have a chance to win a $52,000 Jeep Sahara and help the Belmont County Kids Staying Clean Club at the same time.

The raffle tickets are $10 each, or 11 tickets for the price of ten.

The winner gets to choose the color, motor and transmission of their Jeep.

“Most of the money will go to pay for the Jeep,” says Kirke Porterfield, project coordinator. “And the rest will go to the Staying Clean Club and the St. Clairsville Rotary Clubs.”

“We have ten thousand tickets to sell,” says Chief John McFarland of Martins Ferry Police Department. “And we have quite a few left to get rid of. So this is a push to hopefully focus on Christmas and people can get some tickets as stocking stuffers, or buy tickets for a loved one.”

“We’d like to do additional things for the kids in the Kids Staying Clean Club like maybe a movie night or just some things like that,” says Stacey Longinette, volunteer with the organization. “You know, kids really enjoy getting together from the different schools. Maybe some catered lunches at the schools. Just some additional incentives for rewarding the kids for staying clean.”

When you buy your ticket, you can check the box on the back to indicate where you want your ten dollars to go–whether to the Kids Staying Clean Club or to the Sunrise or Afternoon Rotary club.

Here’s a list of where tickets can be purchased:
