Sun and humidity couldn’t keep runners away at the Ogden Classic

The Ogden Newspapers Half Marathon Classic is an annual tradition in the Friendly City.

Bryan Morseman from Buffalo New York was the first to cross the finish line at the 42nd marathon, which also featured the beloved Iron Men and barefoot runner Johnny Haught.

Haught partnered with the United Way to raise money for Lace Up for Kids.

As the racers ran up and down the hills, friends and family lined the 13.1 mile course to cheer them on, offering words of encouragement.

But friends and family weren’t the only support system.

Countless volunteers dedicate their Saturday morning to make sure the race is successful, even down to the people standing at the finish line, handing the runners a towel.
