The Ziegenfelder Company Employees worked together Friday give back to the community.
Doezens of workers voluntarily packed dry meals for people in the Ohio Valley and around the world.
Joined by 75 people from other local businesses, employees prepared the vacuum sealed bags for LifeLine Christian Mission.
The mission will give the meals out to local foods banks and to orphanages in Liberia.
The Ziegenfelder Company CEO Lisa Allen said their company is about giving back working towards bettering the lives of not only their employees but people all over the world.
“Our mission is about giving back and impacting lives and creating smiles, and we’re successful because our product looks good, tastes good, and doesn’t cost a lot, and our employees do all of that, and they’re making people smile today by doing what they’re doing,” said Barry Allen, Chief Customer Officer.
Employee and service project organizer Breanna Humphries estimates at least 1200 families will benefit from Friday’s work.
Humphries said employees have been looking forward to the project all year.
Hygiene kits were also created for the United Methodist Committee on Relief.
