It was another successful Christmas Toy Drive at Wheeling Island Casino Racetrack.
After a two week toy drive they gave hundreds of toys and some money to the Salvation Army.
The toys and money were given to Salvation Army officials today.
The drive consisted of guests making a toy or cash donation of at least $20 to receive a pull tab for a chance to win $1,000.
“It’s great I mean we all live and work here in this community and we know the need is out there and every year during the holidays it’s really great to be giving something back and we are very happy about that,” said Kim Florence, the president and general manager of Wheeling Island Hotel Casino Racetrack.
“So it just makes your day to realize that such a small entity of our community is stepping up in a big way to make sure Christmas is possible for those less fortunate,” said Captain Benny Carringer, an administrator for the Salvation Army.
The Salvation Army will distribute the gifts on Monday.
