The temperatures may have dropped below 10 degrees tonight, but for some that’s the perfect weather to go outside.

At the Oglebay Ski Resort employees said they’ve seen upwards of 80 people out braving the cold to either ski or snowboard tonight.

When we asked why they’re out, they simply tell us, “it’s a winter sport isn’t it.”

Assistant General Manager Ethan Bulen said this temperature is exactly what they needed in Oglebay.

Assistant General Manager, Ethan Bulen said, “Since the christmas holiday we’ve definitely seen more people come out. The weather has changed for the better and we have more snow made. We’re getting up and ready. Tubing will start hopefully this weekend, maybe early next week.”

For the holiday they’re open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.

For rates and more information you can go to their website at oglebay.com/skiing-snowboarding or call the Ski Hotline at 304-243-4177.
