WEIRTON, W.Va. (WTRF) - Retirees of Weirton Steel got together on Saturday afternoon for an annual picnic.
More than 400 people attended the event at the Serbian Picnic Grounds.
It's a chance for retirees to join together to reminisce over the many years and memories they made after 25 to 30 years working at the mill.
"I just come down just to see them. See all the guys I used to work with," said former mill worker Harold Elliott. "They get fewer and fewer every year. It's nice to see them."
The picnic has been going on for the last 20 years as this was one of the biggest crowds it's had for a long time.
