The Wheeling Fire Department responded to a collapsing building on Main Street in Wheeling.
The building, located at 1056 Main Street, has been collapsing for weeks. The last time that authorities were at the scene was on June 25, according to firemen that were on scene.
Police and fire units have blocked off the alley by the building.
Power lines were affected, but no outages were reported. No injuries were reported.
The property owner, Sandhu LLC, is aware of the collapse. The City of Wheeling Building Inspector said the building was scheduled for demolition, but they’re having trouble getting the contractor.
The inspector also says that the building must come down as soon as possible, so he is trying to expedite the demolition.
