Wintersville Elementary School holds science Fair

Several dozen students showcased their knowledge during the annual science fair at Wintersville Elementary School.

About 29 students in grades K-4 displayed their experiments for judging by local educators. 

The grand prize winner for the science received a four-pack of movie tickets to the AMC Theater at Fort Steuben Mall and the top two winners in each grade will receive one ticket.

Judges are set to include Indian Creek Superintendent Dr. T.C. Chappelear, Assistant Superintendent John Belt, district Title I Coordinator, K-8 Literacy and Curriculum Director and Preschool Director Nicole McDonald, Indian Creek Middle School science teacher Michael Minor, Jefferson County Educational Service Center Governing Board President Larry George, veterinarian Dr. David Robinson, Brandon Pendleton and Dr. Stephen Kuruc.
