“Woofstock” creates fun for pets and people in Belmont County

Community

The Belmont County Animal Rescue League created a brand new event on Saturday that was fun for pets and for people.

The organization held its first Woofstock at the St. Clairsville City Park Recreation Center and Amphitheatre.

Whether you walked on four legs or two there was something for you.

Music was provided by the Sarah Hays Band, Matt VanFossen and New Age Adenas.

There were also food trucks and nearly 30 different vendors for guests to do some shopping.

Proceeds from Woofstock will help the Animal Rescue League continue its programs like spay and neuter assistance and the care and placement of homeless animals.

“A lot of people coming out and bringing their dogs with them, which is what we want,” said Jennifer Woollard, Executive Director of the Belmont County Animal Rescue League. “It’s been pretty steady all day. It’s been a nice event.”

The Belmont County Animal Rescue league taking orders for its special Woofstock t-shirts to continue the fundraiser.
