If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, you might want to check out Wheeling Park High School’s third-annual Car Show & Craft/Vendor Fair.
Hundreds of career tech students will take part in the event on Saturday.
There will be food, music and door prizes.
The event will also showcase a large variety of classic and modern cars, plus items students made in class.
“This is a celebration of all the things students have learned and accomplished over the school year. This gives them a chance to showcase it to the community. It gives them a chance to shine,” said Melonie Miller, a CTE – Outreach Program instructor.
“This showcases what everyone can do. It showcases all of our skills as well as featuring awards and trophies. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone there, seeing them react to our stuff and have a good time,” added Luke Fazzini, a sophomore.
A few of Wheeling Park’s 17 career programs will be featured at the event such as welding, automotive tech, greenhouse and carpentry.
Officials said money raised will go toward travel expenses to various competitions students participate in.
The event begins at 11:00 a.m. at Wheeling Park High School.
