It’s a special day for WTRF 7News — it’s Nexstar Founder’s Day!
Throughout the day, you’ll be seeing WTRF employees around Wheeling as we help make a positive impact in the Ohio Valley.
On Thursday, WTRF held a collection drive for Youth Services System. Thanks to the community’s generous donations, hundreds of items will go to people in need across the Ohio Valley.
Today, the WTRF 7News team will be helping Youth Services System in several other ways, including painting fences, sorting and organizing items that were collected, and much more.
Today, WTRF employees will be helping out at the following locations as a part of #NexstarFoundersDay:
- YSS Hazel Atlas Building
- Mary & Martha House
- Lazarus House
“We’re part of the community so we love to be as active as we can. Helping out people like the YSS organization is just one of the things we love to do,” said Nick Richter, WTRF promotions manager.
Youth Services System impacts the community by helping the homeless, at-risk youth, and serving people just trying to make a better life for themselves.
They depend on collection drives, monetary donations, and the rest of the community to help continue their mission.
