In honor of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, next week, the YWCA of Wheeling is offering residents a unique experience to help raise awareness and teach you what to do if you see something happen.
Next Saturday, April 13, the YWCA will host two interactive walking tours.
During the tour, you’ll hear facts and statistics from a guide as you walk around Centre Market.
You’ll also observe victims of five different crime scenarios such as an overdose or hate crime.
Officials said their goal for the event is to highlight issues surrounding victimization.
They would like to also educate the community about important resources, services, and just how often these things actually happen.
If you’re interested, tours will meet and begin at 2211 Market Street (Centre Market).
Tours begin at 1 pm and 3 pm.
