JEFFERSON COUNTY, OHIO (WTRF) – Hundreds of Jefferson County senior citizens along with their families and friends turned out for a massive celebration. After indoor activities being closed for over fourteen months, the Prime Time Senior Center in Steubenville held a grand re-opening today.
Folks were treated to lunch, there was also live entertainment, bingo, prizes and tours of the facility. Officials from Prime Time say they serve nearly two-hundred people at their building on any given day. They say they were thrilled to see the people back in the building again and hope even more people will use their services in the future.
“I just want to encourage anyone who is not a member of Prime Time already to come out and give us a try. Check us out and see what we have to offer. Maybe eat lunch with us. We are getting ready to ramp up a big membership drive. So if you are sixty plus years old and you’re looking for a place to have some fun with your peers come and try Prime Time.”Trudy Wilson, Prime Time Senior Center
While they were closed, Prime Time continued to offer a number of outside services such as food and grocery deliveries. They also took the opportunity to do some major renovations to their building, including a re-vamped banquet hall along with new rest rooms and flooring throughout the building.
