STEUBENVILLE, Ohio (WTRF) - Students at two Jefferson County Schools had to be evacuated Thursday.
Both Steubenville High School and Wells Elementary were evacuated following a gas leak in the area.
Crews with Columbia Gas were called to the scene to fix the issue. According to the company's twitter, the area was marked as safe at around 2 p.m.
Officials say no gas ever got inside either school. Students were evacuated as a precaution.
